Its true! Magnets are not required for power and cadence when on our RevUp .206 firmware. However, they are still needed when replacing the batteries.

  1. Be sure you are using Silver Oxide SR44 or 357 batteries. Alkaline batteries do NOT work.
  2. After installing NEW batteries in your InfoCrank, the green LED inside flashes when the cover is replaced and is visible through the light tube. Some models only flash once and others flash or show steady for some time. If the green LED is flashing, use your magnet to wave near the RF

cover till the lights turn off. We recommend keeping a magnet handy with your other bike tools.

  3. Once the LED light has stopped flashing rapidly, your InfoCrank is ready for operation.
